Spot the Banana! by Ieatflowersforlunch Spot the Banana! by Ieatflowersforlunch
...and if you find one you should see a doctor -freak! Oo
Well yeah, all the people who fancy analog stuff will stumble upon a "problem" like this sooner or later. Lens flare? Light Leak? Poor Development? I do not know, but this is what makes it so special and exciting! (By the way - those are my favourite toothpicks - if your're still readin' this you must be terribly bored. Go and get a life!)

Spot the Banana! by ~Ieatflowersforlunch is a delightful example of how random quirks can add to the unique appeal of analogue photography. ( Featured by RockstarVanity )

Did you add a filter/overlay to this?

Glad that you ask, but no, not at all :D One thing about analog photography that I love is that in most cases it does not need any digital editing. Analog filmmaterial itself can do the job. Either accidentaly (like in this case due to light leak of camera) or on purpose. In times of super popular socialnetworks like "instagramm" (hate it so much!) I try to obtain and interesting image with thoughts and work and not by simply pushing/pulling weird filterscrollbars around... I should stop right now :D

really nice shot...i find it very appealing (no pun intended i swear! ok maybe a little). love the wood texture contrasted with the blurry soft ground.

Well, let's knock on WOOD (Do you see what I did there? :D ) that all the other people appreciate the same! I was absolutely stunned by the sharpness of this mid-50s lens, too! But also a nice blurryness/Bokeh that might have happened, because of the 8 (!) Aperture-blades that the Adox Golf has. For a 10€-Camera - not too bad :D

Das inspiriert direkt zu einer Fotostrecke a la "Logs of da World".

oh "logs of the world" würde ich tatsächlich total gerne sehen und alle in dieser tollen Analogoptik.

Eichen sollst du meiden, Buchen sollst du suchen? Ob dieser Unwetter-Spruch noch gültig ist? :D

I appreciate your honest words and thank you also that you took time to write something although you don't seem to approve of DD. At first sight I was not sure how to react, but on the other hand this is the internet and most people act more honest than they would in a real-life encounter. One has to cope with this when sharing stuff with the world. This keeps this short moment of fame interesting :D

You just hit the nail on it's head! There are a few things only more important than... BANANAS! I mean, they're yellow, have a funny shape and monkeys approve of their taste. And since most of us accept the theory that they are our origin... All things considered...

Fuck no! There are no problems cutting down trees if you have a stellar forest replantation laws *coughcoughlikeswedencoughcough*. I just wonder what kind of furniture I could make out of it once it's dried. I could even drop some proper info on this subject.

For a second I was about to drop a super-obvious furniture-shop-related "joke", but that would've been to cheesy :D Doesn't everybrody brag about their environmental programs like that? Or should you consider having some cough remedy? :D Regarding your furniture-plans I'd suggest a nice and rustical wardrobe/cabinet-thingy? Personally I'd be able to craft a... toothpick? Please share all your future ideas!

Well, this program has been in place since the 20s and it has worked swell. Roughly 80 million cubic meters of lumber is felled every year and roughly 100 million is regrow. Replant trees three years after felling. Ta-daa! We have more forest than ever before and it keeps on rising every year.

As for furniture... perhaps make a table out of it, sans the tabletop. I would use a nicer looking hardwood for that, like ash.
